SDA: Cult of Fear-Mongers
Invariably, no matter what the biblical topic, the SDA cult always brings the conversation back to Jewish 7th-day Sabbath-keeping. In case you didn’t know it, they and they alone keep the commandments of God. Though they do not publicize on their official website the damnation of those umpteen millions of Christians who have always worshipped the Lord on the first day of the week, it is common knowledge by those who are familiar with their beliefs and writings that, in their jaded view, America is the Beast from the earth, the mark of the Beast Sunday worship. https://www.adventist.org/articles/sabbath-observance-1/
One can understand the immense fear the cult member experiences once this fable is ingrained in his or her heart, mind, body and soul. In addition to the New Testament allegedly giving dire warning of breaking the Jewish Sabbath, the SDA cult has the reminder of the Old Testament warning given in Numbers 15:32-36:
And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses.
Certainly, anyone attempting to keep the 7th-day Jewish Sabbath must reflect on that one episode as a stark example of the severity of God’s judgment upon those who dare do that which is displeasing to Him on that holy day.
Thus, they must tremble each Sabbath-day hoping against hope they do not step outside the holy boundaries enacted by their cult. I dare say picking up firewood is a definite no-no.
An SDA apologist states, “As the scripture clearly shows that the seventh day is the Sabbath, the question then becomes, must Christians keep the Sabbath day that God gave at Creation for all mankind? Must Christians keep any of the Commandments, if so then the Sabbath Commandment still applies.”
This argument is what is known as ‘begging the question.’ The Adventist is assuming as true that which has yet to be proved.
Although the official SDA website incorrectly references the Scripture in which God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made, as Genesis 1:3, the website and Adventist are both in sync as to the implication: By this we are to understand a commandment which requires all mankind to set aside the 7th-day as a holy day dedicated to the worship of the one true God.
No Such Commandment is Given in Genesis 2:3
If, as SDA theology would have us believe, the 7th-day Sabbath worship was crucial – a matter of life and death, as exemplified in Numbers 15 – why then was that commandment not clearly and forcefully given Adam? The Lord had no problem enunciating the commandment to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the breaking of which resulted in Adam’s spiritual and physical death, as well as the death of all his progeny. Had Adam and Eve committed their sin on the Sabbath, that certainly would have been an excellent time to declare how they broke not just one, but two commandments: eating from the tree while breaking the Sabbath. But that was not the case. The time of the offense was not the issue. The act of disobedience was. Yet the SDA would have us believe Adam and all mankind after him had a clear 7th-day commandment which all knew and understood.
Did Cain and Abel Have Such a Commandment?
In Genesis 4 we are told And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
Notice the Scripture did not say, On the Sabbath it came to pass, etc. In other words, the time of the offering was not the issue. The sacrificial offering itself was. Cain’s offering was of the earth, carnal and unbloody, while Abel’s was a slain lamb, a type of the Messiah to come. Abel’s offering displayed faith in the promise of God, whose Messiah was to be a type of sacrificial lamb, while Cain’s represented the worthless offerings of works by carnal unbelievers. Offering bread to God would be another such worthless offering.
Like Cain, the SDAs offer the Lord their good works, 7th-day Sabbath-keeping, according to their own particular rules and regulations. SDAs worship a day, while we Christians worship the Lord of the Sabbath.

Hello Rand,
We have corresponded in the past by email and telephone. To put you in remembrance of me I am a former member of the Professional Golfers Association. I quit the profession after accepting teachings of SDA re the Sabbath. I left SDA after 2 years and went back to golf and Sunday keeping.
Just a quick note to tell you I am very interested in what you have to say on this subject matter re: the Saturday Sabbath of SDA. You were kind in your remarks re a two page writing I shared with you. Currently I am sharing the following links:

Hope to hear from you soon.
Joe the Pro-Testant
Of course I remember you, Joe. The SDA articles I wrote were the result of debating SDAs who have infiltrated the Baptist Board, due to lax membership restrictions. I had no idea how heretical and outrageous their teachings until I studied Ellen White’s writings. Previously I thought them to be heterodox, but now I consider them ruled by satanic spirits with little hope of breaking free. That you have escaped is only due to the grace and power of God who chose you for His Kingdom before the foundation of the world. I left the Baptist Board because further communication with them became repetitious and futile. I am currently ministering worldwide on YouTube, using iconbusters.com as my channel name. I will check out your links in the near future and get back to you. Lord bless you, brother!
Hi Joe: I am in complete agreement regarding Christ’s birth and celebration. Re: Name of Jesus….The Protestant Reformers were all in agreement using Matthew 1:21 as a proof text: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” The name Jesus has always been identified with salvation. Luke 2:11 confirms this fact: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
